Editor shortcuts
On macOS, use the Command key instead of Ctrl. Some shortcuts do not work when the text box has focus.
Prerequisites
- When the editor screen has focus
Play and Move
- Space: Play, or stop playing and return to the starting position
- Enter: Pause at current location
- Ctrl/Command+Space: Completely stop and return to the beginning
- Home / End: Go to the start / end of the timeline
- Left / Right arrow keys: Move one frame at a time
edit
- Ctrl/Command+Z: Undo
- Ctrl/Command+Y or Ctrl/Command+Shift+Z: Redo
- Ctrl/Command+C / V: Copy / Paste selected audio clip
- S: Split selected clip at playhead position
- Delete or Backspace: Delete selected clips
- Escape: Close the open clip menu
Tools and Views
- V: Selection tool
- N: Turn snapping on or off
- + or = / -: zoom in / zoom out
- Ctrl/Command+0: Fit to entire timeline
