Using playback, section repeat, and zoom

Find the scene you need with the playhead and time scale, and check it out in detail with repeat and zoom functions.

Prerequisites
  • One or more clips in the timeline

Find and play locations

Clicking on the time scale or timeline moves the playhead. You can use play/pause and stop at the bottom.

  • Space: Play or stop by returning to the starting point of play.
  • Enter: Stop at current location
  • Left/Right arrow keys: Move the project one frame at a time

Select a section and repeat

Drag from the desired start point to the end point on the time scale, then turn on the repeat button at the bottom. The same selection section can be used as a starting value in export.

  1. 1

    Select section

Drag the range you want to check on the time scale.

  2. 2

    Turn on repeat

Select the repeat button at the bottom.

  3. 3

    Play confirmation

Check if the selected range repeats.

Zoom in on the timeline

Use the −, slider, and + buttons at the bottom to view the time broadly or zoom in in detail. Ctrl/Command+0 will fit the entire timeline to the screen width.

Checking the output level

Check overall output and peaks on the bottom stereo level meter. If peaks continue to clip, lower the track volume or clip gain.
